Brazilian star Neymar, who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain, has revealed his longing to once again don the jersey of his former Brazilian club, Santos. This declaration came during his presence at the "Vila Belmiro" stadium to watch Santos' match against Oudax Italiano in the Copa Sudamericana.
Neymar is currently in Brazil following an injury that prematurely ended his season with the Parisian club. Seizing the opportunity to return to his home country, he attended the match at "Vila Belmiro," which ultimately ended in a goalless draw. Neymar was seen in the stands wearing the Brazilian club's jersey.
Addressing the audience, Neymar conveyed his strong desire to reunite with Santos, saying, "One day I will be back, I'll return soon," a statement reported by "Globo Esporte" newspaper.
He continued by stating, "It's very beautiful to return to my home; I feel like I'm at home here. I am very happy to be back after 10 years. Unfortunately, the result was a draw, I wanted them to win. I came here to support Santos and feel the love of the fans."
Neymar added, "This is the club that gave me everything, opened the doors for me and my family, and introduced me to the world. I am very happy to be here."
Neymar left Santos in 2013 to join Barcelona before making the move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
